For those of you not on Facebook, I realized I need to make some of these gems of dialogue available here as well.  Some recent greats:

Bizarrely insightful exchange w/ toddler:
Rose, out of nowhere: Mommy, Peter is a teacher!
Me: Ok! What does he teach?
Rose: He teaches you, Mommy! He teaches you about Peter!

The toddler logic here is very clear...

Rose: Where are we going?
Me: To Sausalito.
Rose: Are we going to buy sauce?

I genuinely think she thought the two were mutually exclusive...

Rose: I love you, Mommy!
Me: I love you, too, Rosie!
Rose, really angry and frustrated: NO no NO! YOU DON'T LOVE ME! I love you!

We've been discussing not crashing into other kids when riding tricycles. One day while driving...
Rose: Don't crash the car, Mom.
Me: I'll try not to.
Rose: If you crash, you get time-out, Mom.
