Change is afoot

New experiences abound (with the greatest yet to come) and Rose has been feeling a bit unsettled.  The other night, she cried and cried at 2 a.m. asking to "get dressed." This resulted in her parents buying her some two-piece pajamas the next day which she calls her "special clothes".  (She adamently denies that she is wearing pajamas.  Shhhhh!)
Although we are not forcing her out of her crib any time soon, we did invest in a toddler bed so that she has the option whenever she's ready.  At first she was very excited to climb on it, but soon this devolved into tears because mom and dad had not set up the comforter as a blanket fort (or "tunnel" in Rosie-speak).  We must admit we thought the tantrum pictures were hilarious and sweet.
First a new room, then a new bed, then a new brother...  You can see why the doctor and parenting books recommend waiting on potty-training!

She played on the bed, asked to read her bedtime stories in the bed, and then opted to sleep in her crib.  Sounds good to us.
