10 months old

Peter was 10 months old over Thanksgiving weekend.
New This Month:
-Pulls to stand against furniture or people whenever he can.  He really wants to walk and accomplishes this as best he can by pulling to stand against the ottoman and then flinging himself at Mom.  (So far she has caught him every time, but this is either going to end in tears or first steps. Or both.)
-Those of you who are up on their baby developmental stages-- remember the "pincer grip"?  Well, he's got it!  Eating cheerios suddenly became much more efficient.
-First word alert???  He said "da-da" to his dad and sometimes says "ma-ma-ma" when Mom picks him up, but is this purposeful or coincidental? We shall see.  (And I'm dying to know what nomenclature he chooses for big sis!)
Official stats:  30 inches and 23 1/2 lbs.
Some favorite things:  His big sister.  Climbing on the cat.  (Rusty ALWAYS just takes it. The babysitter finally stopped being afraid he would lash out.) Everything Rosie says or does or likes.  Reaching up and grabbing everything he can reach. Anything Rosie touches or plays with.
Rose is increasingly good at following directions and has grown up in so many ways, though playing baby is still one of her number one pass-times.  She loves to see her name in print and looks for R's, O's, S's and E's everywhere. She loves to play with blocks and puzzles and make patterns (Dad helped her with that one).
