Today's pediatric visit went well. Peter is in the 75th% at 26.75 in (interestingly 1.5 in shorter than Rose was at his age, but I figure there is also some room for error in measuring a squirmy baby!). According to their scale he is nearly 20 1/2 lbs (95th%). Also today, Rose measured in at 39 in. and 36 lbs, both at 99th%!
Developmentally, Rose is officially ready for preschool. She enjoys dressing herself and purposely wearing many clothes backwards and/or inside out.
And for better or worse, Peter impressed the doctor with his (apparently precocious) ability to express his preferences (in this case indicate he really specifically wanted the brown crayon Rose was using). She said to be prepared for some early communication from him (verbal or otherwise) and some sibling conflict sooner rather than later when they want the same toys. Uh-oh...
