Rose is 16 months old this week. She's recently taken to shrieking happily, and very shrilly. (We'll have to have a talk about indoor voices.)
It's so fun to watch her language skills explode. She recently used 2 words together: "More apple!" And she says a handful of 2-syllable words pretty clearly (e.g. "airplane," "turtle," "dirty," "button."). Every day or two she busts out a new word we've never heard from her before.
Here's some typical dinnertable conversation:
(Full disclosure: she does not count, she just knows
the concept of "two" and likes pointing out pairs of things.)
Nana recently visited and Rosie got her bangs trimmed. She will not tolerate any hair clips, bows or headbands, but at least it's growing longer. And it's showing definite signs of waviness.
The rain has returned, but Rosie did get a few nice days to play outside last weekend.
This is one of her new favorite activities (although this video does not adequately capture the high-pitched squeals of happiness that usually occur).
