The Little Farm

On a recent weekend afternoon, we took a trip to Tilden Park in Berkeley which features a petting zoo known as the Little Farm.  Rose enjoyed seeing the animals from her books and puzzles in real life.

Rose is working on her animal names and sounds.  She can say "do' " (dog), "du' " (duck), " 'ish" (fish), and cat in Chinese (something like "mao").  She can't quite manage "neigh", so horses say, "Ha ha ha!"  When she doesn't know the animal sound, "Ruff!" is the default answer. 

Mom: What does a cow say, Rosie?

Rose: Mmmmm!
