Rose at 9 months

Rosie turned 9 months old last week, and is looking more and more like a toddler, and less and less like a baby. (We have jokingly adopted the term "mini child" to describe this actuality.) Here are her latest feats and stats.
Length/Height:  30.25 in (99.25%!!)
Weight:  19 lbs, 6 oz. (58%)
Hair: growing rapidly; we have to sweep it out of her face, but the barrette stays in place most of the time.  Is a haircut in her future?
Food:  rejecting spoon-feeding and purees at every opportunity, avidly wants to feed herself.  Recent meals include such things as eggs, peaches, bananas, cheese, tofu, strawberries, bread, waffles, raspberries, pasta, corn, rice, squash and more.
Sounds: Babbling away; ya ya ya is her recent favorite.  Seems to speak in full gibberish sentences.  She recently looked Scott right in the eye and said, "Daddy"... but then proceeded to call everything "daddy" for the rest of the day.  At least we know she has it in her!
Movement: Easily pulls herself up to standing using us or the furniture, but doesn't have much balance yet.  Scoots rapidly on her tummy, but is practicing a traditional crawl more and more.  She also likes to practice stepping.
Socially:  VERY clingy to us, and to Mom especially.  (We'll see how this plays out in coming weeks with our new nanny...)  Absolutely mesmerized by older children.

Here's a video of Rose, a typical afternoon playing.
